The Chinese New Year is the first of all festivals and is the grandest traditional festival of the Chinese nation. Spring Festival is the Chinese Lunar New Year. The origin of Spring Festival contains profound cultural connotations and carries a rich historical and cultural heritage in its inheritance and development.
During the Chinese New Year, various events are held throughout the country to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and there are differences in the content or details of the customs that vary from place to place depending on the regional culture, with strong regional characteristics. The celebrations during the Chinese New Year are extremely varied, with lion dances, temple fairs, visits to flower streets, lanterns, play gongs and drums, fireworks, prayers and much more. The Chinese New Year is a time of festivities and festivities that can be found in many place, but each has its own characteristics and nuances, depending on the culture and customs. Chinese New Year folklore is diverse and rich in content, and is a concentrated display of the essence of Chinese life and culture.

Today, on the 23rd day of the 12th month of the lunar calendar, is the Chinese Xiao Nian, which is the start of the entire Chinese New Year celebrations and the foreshadowing. It is not just one day, but the day known as "Xiao Nian" varies from region to region. It is the 23rd day of the 12th month of the lunar calendar in the north and the 24th day of the 12th month of the lunar calendar in the south. From this day onwards it means that people start to prepare for the New Year, sweep the dust and offer sacrifices to the kitchen god, in preparation for a clean and prosperous year. It is an expression of people's wish to ring out the old year and ring in the new, and to welcome good fortune.
To welcome and celebrate the Chinese New Year, an early Chinese New Year couplet writing activity was held on 12 January at the Group, where two teachers wrote a pair of wonderful couplets with strong and powerful technique of writing calligraphy or drawing. Our lighting marketing department had a party last weekend and after the meal the leaders started giving out red packets to reward the staff for their efforts throughout the year and to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which culminated in a party atmosphere and a best wishes that we can do even better in 2022.
