ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) is a certification scheme of CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation), which is a general European standard for products that are specific and conform to European standards (e.g. lighting equipment, components, data equipment, etc.). ENEC is a voluntary certification, which in Europe means electrical safety, and is the highest level of safety required by the member states.
The ENEC mark implies safety because it is based not only on type tests completed by qualified certification bodies, but also on the continuous control of the manufacturer's production process. In addition, the use of the ENEC mark is monitored by manufacturers' and consumers' organisations and official test institutes in Europe.
ENEC on-site audit by third-party testing agency DEKRA.
On 17 January 2022, the third-party testing agency DEKRA conducted an ENEC on-site audit on our company. The audit mainly audited our production site and company information, and we docked according to the following 21 processes. This audit is led by the IQC department and completed in collaboration with other departments.
1. Signing of documents and reception of auditors;
2. Confirmation of DEKRA certified product types, production status and reporting certificates;
3. Quality manual, list and directory of secondary documents;
4. Quality assurance ISO certificate ISO9001;
5. Record keeping procedures, record keeping time requirements;
6. Non-conforming product control procedures, non-conforming product improvement records, last year's non-conformity rectification records;
7. Internal audit report, internal audit plan, improvement records;
8. Customer complaint procedures, complaint records and improvement records during the year;
9. Material and finished goods ledger;
10. Material FIFO procedure;
11. Incoming material inspection procedures;
12. Incoming material inspection work instructions;
13. Main material incoming inspection records;
14. QA product inspection work instruction (metal bracket spotlights);
15. QC work instruction for production line (metal bracket spotlight);
16. Production line QC test defective records (metal bracket spotlights);
17. Statistical analysis report of inspection results (metal bracket spotlights);
18. Safety regulation and function tester point inspection;
19. Anti-static equipment spot check;
20. Equipment measurement and calibration;
21. Finished product inspection procedure document;

In the morning the auditors mainly review information with the IQC department, IQC site audits and inspection procedure audits are carried out. In order to improve audit efficiency, we integrate the required procedure documents, quality manuals and other relevant documents in advance so that the auditors can review them at any time. IQC site audits are carried out around inspection procedures, mainly incoming inspection procedures, incoming inspection work instructions, incoming inspection records of major materials, FIFO procedures and other audits.
In the afternoon, the auditors conducted a careful audit of our ceiling spotlights production site and production line operations. The auditors audited the QC work instructions for the assembly workshop production line, safety and functional tester spot checks, anti-static equipment spot checks and other production processes.
The entire audit was completed in a very efficient manner and our company met the requirements set by ENEC and passed the first ENEC factory audit.
